If you are in career transition (a.k.a. unemployed), you can find all sorts of job hunting tips and tools for free by searching the Web and/or visiting your local library. You can also find a great deal of free assistance and support from local jobs networking groups, many of which are sponsored by local churches. Many libraries provide their patrons with free access to business databases. Your greatest job hunting tool is proactive, personal networking. Take stock of yourself, set some specific goals, and then get out (or get on the phone) and start talking to people every day. This is no time to become a recluse.

In 2007, I spoke at local jobs networking ministires about staying positive and focused while in transition. A clip of my "Don't Look Down!" presentation can be still found on YouTube. I used to publish a blog site, but have discontinued that in order to pursue other priorities.

The Illini Free Spirit Riders motorcycle club is a chapter of Honda Riders Club of America, sponsored by Fox Vallet Cycles of Aurora, Illinois. For information on either the club or our sponsoring dealer, please visit their respective websites.

My favorite charity is the Ride for KidsŪ, which supports the efforts of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) with fundraising events across the USA.  I ride with my daughter in the Chicagoland event and with my son in the Wisconsin event. To support us in our endeavors, please contact us directly.
